Aims & Objectives
Green Peepal Society, Udaipur is established with the following objectives:
- To ensure the development of ecological processes and life co-mechanisms through local villagers' conservation and management of natural resources.
- Strengthening ecological, economic, social, and cultural systems for the just and sustainable livelihood of resourceless rural society.
- To organize consultations, conferences, symposiums, and training for public departments, NGOs, and individuals for sustainable energy development, environment, industry, economy, and natural resources.
- Development of socially and culturally acceptable participatory management for integrated catchment area development, tree cultivation, and conservation and management of fragile ecosystems.
- Expansion of public knowledge, science, and technology related to plants and natural resources being used by scheduled tribes and other societies.
- Expansion of traditional conservation techniques and integration of traditional knowledge for sustainable use and management of biodiversity.
- Preventing pollution and destruction of biodiversity by natural and man-made ecosystems.
- To awaken the people for environmental protection.
- Organizing and developing programs like rural technology, water resources, alternative energy sources, health and medicine, youth programs, family welfare, etc.
- To undertake environmental improvements around religious places, historical monuments, and cultural areas.
- To contribute directly/indirectly to reducing carbon emissions and preventing global heat/climate change.
- Encouraging organic farming.
- Wildlife conservation outside forest areas.
- Heritage conservation, urban green space related works.
- Conservation of mahseer (fish) and helping local people to earn a living.
