To begin with the GPS would assist in a plantation drive by planting a few identified species.
The GPS also shared its long term vision of creation of’carbon credits’ through a plantation project spanning three to five years in certain areas of the University.The Vice Chancellor showed his keenness to partner with GPS to meet the short term and long approach of the University to conserve the environment and thus become a participating agency through the various programs of Green Peepal Society and with this view in mind directed the University officials to identify areas or chunks of land where such plantation is possible. Mr Rahul Bhatnagar,President of GPS along with Sh Vikram Singh ji,Retd IAS and Prof Sharad Srivastava was present in this meeting.Sh V C Garg ,Registrar of the University too was present
